EmployAlert never charges job seekers any fee — at any stage of recruitment. If anyone asks you for money in the name of EmployAlert or a company listed on employalert.com — "registration fees", "processing charges", "security deposits" or anything similar — it is fraud. This page explains how to recognise job scams in India, how to verify a job offer, and how to report recruitment fraud.
Our attention has been drawn to fraudulent recruitment activity by individuals posing as consultants or employees of employalert.com, trying to trick candidates into parting with money by promising them job offers. These individuals have also wrongfully used our name and set up fake, copied websites to make their activities look legitimate. EmployAlert has not authorised any individual or agency to collect any payment from candidates, and such communications are made purely with the intent to defraud.
What EmployAlert will never do
- Never charge candidates for registration, applications, interviews or job offers
- Never ask for OTPs, banking passwords, card details or UPI transfers
- Never guarantee a job in exchange for a payment
- Never contact you from personal numbers or unofficial email addresses asking for money
Common job scam red flags in India
- Upfront fees of any kind — "registration", "processing", "documentation" or "refundable deposits"
- "Guaranteed placement" or "100% job guarantee" promises
- Offer letters issued without any interview or screening
- Pressure to pay or decide within a few hours
- Requests to continue the conversation on personal WhatsApp or Telegram numbers and pay there
- Look-alike websites and email addresses imitating real job portals or well-known companies
How to verify a job offer
- Check that the job listing actually exists on employalert.com
- Visit the company's official website or careers page and confirm the vacancy
- Be suspicious of "HR" contacts using free email addresses (Gmail, Yahoo) for large companies
- Remember: you should never need to pay anyone to get a job — if payment comes up, walk away
How to report recruitment fraud
- Email info@employalert.com with the job link, the messages you received and any payment requests — we review reported listings and take appropriate action.
- Report the incident to the Government of India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, or call the cyber fraud helpline 1930 — especially if money has changed hands.
- Stop engaging with the fraudster and do not share any further personal information or documents.
EmployAlert shall not be held liable or responsible for fake recruiters or their false promises of jobs, nor for any loss or damage incurred by parties who engage with them, which they do at their own risk. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact info@employalert.com.
Job seeking on EmployAlert is free. Anyone telling you otherwise is not us.
